ORIONWAY is pleased to inform you that our Privacy Policy complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (“GDPR”) and the relevant national legislation of the EU Member States implementing the GDPR. This Privacy Policy will be updated according to new regulations and modifications in the applicable Legislation.

Personal data

ORIONWAY collects and uses certain personal data that we have received either directly from you or indirectly via Civil Aviation Authorities or previous employers. The personal data that ORIONWAY processes about you is your name, address/contact details (including telephone number and email address), banking and tax information, family status, nationality, date of birth, identity card or passport details, health information, psychological tests, flying licenses and records, photos and information for any security checks.

Orionway’s Customer Privacy Policy covers the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that may be collected by Orionway anytime you interact with Orionway, such as when you visit our website, when you purchase Orionway products and services, or when you call our sales or support associates. Please take a moment to read the following to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information.  Orionway is sensitive to the issue of confidentiality in on line dealings and is committed to protecting individual privacy. Processing and purpose of use

ORIONWAY uses the personal data collected in order to properly provide requested recruitment, employment and placement services. ORIONWAY therefore collects, uses, administers, records, transfers and stores personal data in order to efficiently perform the agreed services. Among other things, ORIONWAY Processes personal data:

To allow you to apply for specific jobs or to subscribe to ORIONWAY's job alerts so that ORIONWAY can notify you when relevant job vacancies arise. Note that ORIONWAY will not put you forward for any positions without your prior consent;

  • To provide recruitment and/or related intermediary services to or for you and to facilitate the recruitment process;
  • To determine whether candidates meet the relevant skills and requirements to fulfil roles;
  • To send you relevant updates and keep you informed where you have requested this;
  • To improve website offerings to you including via the use of cookies;
  • To perform, manage and/or maintain your employment or assignment relationship where applicable;

  • To manage communication and transactions;

ORIONWAY reserves the right to update and amend this privacy statement from time to time to the extent necessary in relation to our legitimate business interests such as amendments to the Regulations or updates to the services provided by ORIONWAY.

When we disclose your information

ORIONWAY takes your privacy very seriously. Orionway does not rent, sell, or trade any personally identifiable information about you (e.g., e-mail addresses) to third parties.

ORIONWAY may disclose your personal data to relevant members of the ORIONWAY group (e.g. ORIONWAY Training), prospective employers or airline clients and relevant third parties who perform related functions on ORIONWAY’s behalf. Any such disclosure will be only to the extent required for the Purposes and in accordance with the Regulations. ORIONWAY may disclose personal data in order to comply with legal requirements (e.g. in relation to legal claims, audits, investigations or consultations with competent authorities and social security agencies), to respond to demands or to protect the interests of individuals. Disclosures shall be made in accordance with the Regulations.

ORIONWAY may disclose your personal data to associated companies (e.g. affiliates), business and joint venture partners, as well as subcontractors at home and abroad. We will only disclose your personal data once it has been ensured that there is an adequate level of data protection and/or when we have signed a personal data processing agreement in accordance with the Regulations.

International data transfer and within the Orionway Group

ORIONWAY operates in multiple jurisdictions some which are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Countries located outside the EEA may have data protection laws which do not provide the same level of protection for personal data as within the EEA. ORIONWAY transfers personal data outside the EEA only to the extent required for legitimate business purposes. ORIONWAY utilizes standard means under the Regulations to legitimize data transfers outside the EEA.

To help us provide superior service, your personal information may be shared with legal entities within the Orionway group globally who will take steps to safeguard it in accordance with Orionway’s privacy policy.

Protection of personal data

ORIONWAY regards your personal data as an asset that must be protected. We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is stored securely, only accessible by authorized persons and only transferred in accordance with this Privacy Statement and after the implementation of appropriate technical, security and organizational measures in compliance with the Regulations. Nonetheless there are third parties that may unlawfully try to access systems or intercept transmissions or communications containing personal data. ORIONWAY continuously uses its reasonable efforts in line with industry standards to protect personal data of customers but cannot absolutely guarantee that such unlawful actions will not occur. ORIONWAY has in place a data breach response plan.

ORIONWAY takes precautions, including administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

The Orionway website use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. Rights of data subjects

As a data subject whose personal data is processed by ORIONWAY for the Purposes mentioned above, in applicable circumstances you have the right to access your personal data, request a copy of (e.g. for transfer to another IT environment), and request to update or correct, your personal data held by ORIONWAY. To the extent that the processing of personal data by ORIONWAY occurs on the basis of your consent you have the right to withdraw such consent. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by ORIONWAY, to request that ORIONWAY restrict the processing of your personal data or request that ORIONWAY erase your personal data, all on the grounds mentioned in the Regulations.  ORIONWAY will respond to all such requests in accordance with the Regulations.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent personal data protection authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is not in compliance with Regulations, or if ORIONWAY does not respond to your requests in timely and/or appropriate manner, or if they are not answered at all.

ORIONWAY will only store your personal data for the duration necessary and in a manner permitted by the Regulations or other applicable laws.

ORIONWAY has safeguards in place to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. Naturally, you always have the right to access and correct the personal information you have provided. You can help us ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by checking your personal data periodically and you can request a copy of your personal information, your registration history, and your interactions with our sales and support agents by contacting us.

The Regulations may require that ORIONWAY ask for your specific consent if certain elements of the personal data that ORIONWAY processes qualify as special categories, namely medical data and criminal records. As is standard practice on many corporate websites, Orionway’s website uses “cookies” and other technologies to help us understand which parts of our websites are the most popular, where our visitors are going, and how much time they spend there. We also use cookies and other technologies to make sure that our online advertising is bringing customers to our products and services. We use cookies and other technologies to study traffic patterns on our website, to make it even more rewarding as well as to study the effectiveness of our customer communications. And we use cookies to customize your experience and provide greater convenience each time you interact with us.

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and click stream data.

In addition we use pixel tags, tiny graphic images to tell us what parts of our website customers have visited or to measure the effectiveness of searches customers perform on our site.

Pixel tags also enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read. And they tell us whether emails have been opened to ensure that we’re sending only messages that are of interest to our customers. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a customer. We store all of this information in a secure database located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Children Privacy

Orionway asks children under 18 not to transmit any information to the Site. Orionway welcomes the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18 to use the Site and provide any information, service, or product gained from the Site to their child.

For the convenience of our Site visitors, Orionway may provide links to third party web sites that are external to Orionway. These web sites are not operated or controlled by Orionway, and Orionway is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such external web sites.
